FLOX FLOX AKA Hayley King, is an established Fine Art stencil creator, her work draws on a native rich colourful design pallet having a particular gift for marrying the explosive and the controlled visual form.  Her works are excitingly dynamic and shout natural talent.

In the early days of Hum’s restoration of the Grand Old Villa we had a few artists of the ‘Cut Collective’ crew do a piece around the base of the villa as a temporary art installation while we further developed the site.  It was during this time in early 2011 that Rosy Armitage, the founder of the Hum project, became aware of FLOX’s work and fell instantly in love.  It’s such a pleasure to have FLOX offer up her talents to help secure the Heritage villa!

FLOX will be contributing her original work created for the recent season of the TV series ‘The Block’ called ‘Birds of Paradise’.  It is a stunning 1.6m circular piece completed with that special flare and passion that only FLOX has!

FLOX will also be creating an original piece for the live auction on a vintage two man Saw over 2m in length (donated by Thornton Auctions) used back in the day to cut down our native Kauri.  The Grand Old Villa is built with beautiful Kauri and a Saw just like this would have been used to source the material.  FLOX is working on this original as we write this.

FLOX is a stunning artist and her work is demanded left right and centre both domestically and internationally.  Just google her and you’ll see what we mean!
