Graeme+TropicanaGraeme has spent most of his life in Auckland, apart from some wild years in the 1990s when he stayed in the UK chasing a dream of becoming a rock ‘n’ roll star. Graeme has lived in Grey Lynn, Remuera and recently moved to Grafton. He has worked on his current painting collection since 2007 which consists of 20 paintings.

Graeme uses a peculiar technique of layered acrylic paint usually on canvas or card board. He also designs his very unique style frames that are usually made of heavy duty card board – or whatever is handy.

Although Graeme is relatively unknown he has been painting under different aliases since he was 19.

Here’s a video where Graeme explains the inner workings of his latest piece, the “Joker”.
